windows live messenger vista

Hi there !
I'm using Vista 5384. Yesterday evening I tried twice to install Windows Live Messenger (last public build). I got this type of error (happening in the last quarter of the installation): "An error occured during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,processorarchitecture="x86",type="win32",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",version="8.0.50727.91". Please refer to Help and support for more information". But of course nothing's available in Help & Support Center. And I did not find any issue like this in this newsgroup.
Can someone help please ??!!!

I just wanted to add that after rolling back a dialog opens and mentions "Error code 1603"... This information may help anyone who speaks this mysterious error code language ! Thanks,
